This is one in a series of stories previewing each member of the 2026-27 Villanova Men’s Basketball roster.

Brady Muller transferred to Villanova after four seasons at Bucknell, playing forward for the Bison despite a 6-foot-4 frame smaller than you’d typically expect for the position. Serving as a backup, Muller’s biggest role came during the 2024-25 season, when he averaged 4.6 minutes per game across 16 contests.

A hip injury kept him out of the lineup the following year, preventing him from earning a bigger role. However,  he also qualified for a medical redshirt that helped him come to the Main Line for a fifth and final season of college basketball. The Muller family’s ties to Villanova run deep, making this a solid fit for all parties involved. Muller’s father, Tim, served as a bench guard from 1987 to 1991; his mother and sister competed on the Wildcats’ rowing and soccer teams, respectively.

Villanova lists Muller at guard instead of forward, indicating he’ll likely play the two instead of the three this season. That makes sense given his own size and that of the Wildcats’ forward-heavy lineup, and could put him in a better position to succeed than the small-ball style played at Bucknell. Film of Muller with the Bison showed a player not afraid to mix things up with much larger athletes in the paint while on defense and lurking in the corner for an occasional three-point shot on offense.

The Wildcats will only have so many minutes to go around at guard with players like Tyler Perkins, Jake Fiegen and Elijah Crawford on the depth chart, but Muller’s grit should make him a solid substitute and locker room presence.
