This is one in a series of stories previewing each member of the 2026-27 Villanova Men’s Basketball roster.

Carter Fisk joined Villanova in June 2026 as the second member of their freshman class . Unranked out of high school, Fisk stands 6-foot-2 and weighs 175 pounds, a combo guard whose high school tape — a mix of shaky dribbling and strong effort on defense — indicates he’d fit best on the wing. Fisk averaged 17.1 points per game and earned player of the year honors from the Baltimore Sun, but he needs to develop both his passing and handles in order to recognize his point guard upside.

Villanova head coach Kevin Willard has dedicated plenty of minutes to his reserves through the Wildcats’ first two preseason games; Fisk has three points, three rebounds and an assist across X minutes played, going 1-for-2 with a made triple against Rutgers. In previous seasons, Fisk would’ve been a redshirt candidate. With the NCAA’s new five-in-five eligibility model rendering redshirts pointless, however, he’s a solid pick to earn the occasional minute in blowouts… but seniors like Wade Chiddick and Brady Muller will likely slot in first.

Even as an unheralded prospect, Fisk has an opportunity to grow his game this year during his first taste of Division I basketball games and practices. Only time will tell what kind of player he can develop into as his career continues.
