Villanova Forward Eric Dixon Measures in at NBA Draft Combine

Villanova forward Eric Dixon measured in at the NBA Draft Combine on Tuesday, May 13, his physical testing stacking up surprisingly well with his listed measurements on the Wildcats’ depth chart.
High schools and colleges are notorious for misrepresenting the heights of their players. For example, Rutgers listed expected top five pick Ace Bailey at 6-foot-10, but his barefoot measurement at the combine came in at just 6-foot-7 1/2.
Dixon, however, listed at 6-foot-8 at Villanova, checked in at an extremely reasonable 6-foot-7 1/2 while barefoot, according to a report from Jon Chepkevich of Draft Express. That’s not at all out of line with his Wildcats’ measurements, especially if they measured him with shoes on. Dixon tipped the scale at 258.6 pounds, while his wingspan and standing reach measured in at 6-foot-11 1/2 and 8-foot-8, respectively.
The sixth year forward, who led the nation in scoring last season and holds the Wildcats’ men’s program’s all-time points record, also ranked among the top ten in shooting drills held at the draft, making 69 percent of all the shots he took. Notably, that rate stat doesn’t take range into account.
Dixon will also take part in a 5-on-5 competition on Wednesday, May 14 as he looks to improve his draft stock. Right now, he projects as a late second round pick.
St. Joseph’s forward Rasheer Fleming, meanwhile, stood 6-foot-8 1/4 without shoes, weighing 232.4 pounds and logging a wingspan and standing reach of 7-foot-5 1/4 and 9-foot-1 1/2, respectively. He’ll likely come off the board in the middle of the first round. The Hawks listed him at 6-foot-9.
