Villanova Continues 2029 Offer Slate With Combo Guard Jordan Costley
Villanova Men’s Basketball has issued a flurry of offers in recent weeks, and 2029 combo guard Jordan Costley is the most recent recruit to join the list. A 6-foot-2, 160 pound rising sophomore out of Maryland’s Springdale Prep High School, some reports list Costley as tall as 6-foot-4. He announced his offer from the Wildcats in a May 18 Instagram post.
Costley receives praise for his two-way ability, wreaking havoc with consistent pressure on defense… a promising sign for a player so young. A strong shot maker, Costley sounds like a three-and-D wing at first glance — especially with three more years to grow before he sets foot on a Division I court — but he also racks up assists in bunches, giving him legitimate potential at both guard spots.
Villanova marks Costley’s third Division I offer: UTSA and Mississippi State threw their hats in the ring in March and May, respectively. While star rankings aren’t yet out for the class of 2029, Costley’s strong performance in the ferocious basketball prep environment of the D.C., Maryland and Virginia (DMV) area make him a likely candidate to shoot up recruiting rankings as his high school career continues, another early swing for the fences from the Wildcats’ staff.
