Update: 7:00 PM- Per an update from Rothstein, Villanova will host DePaul on Dec. 31 rather than playing on the road.

Update: 3:38 PM- Villanova will face DePaul in Chicago on Thursday, Dec. 31, per another report from Rothstein.

The Big East conference schedule is starting to leak out, and CBS Sports college basketball insider Jon Rothstein reported that Villanova Men’s Basketball will face Seton Hall at the Prudential Center in Newark on Tuesday, Dec. 23. Per Rothstein’s report, that game will serve as the Wildcats’ conference opener.

It will also mark a homecoming for head coach Kevin Willard, who led the Pirates from 2010 to 2022 and defeated the Wildcats in the 2016 Big East Championship Game. As such, the matchup is a natural segue for Willard’s return to the Big East.

Villanova finalized their out of conference schedule, located here, in August; as Big East schedule leaks drop with increasing rapidity, expect to learn the Wildcats’ full 2025-26 schedule in the coming days. Last year, the conference released their full schedule on Sept. 12.
