Phillies Prospect Watch: Dante Nori Homers in Double-A Return

Phillies affiliates went 3-1 on Tuesday, Aug. 25, with 2024 first round pick Dante Nori hitting the ground running in his return to Double-A.

Triple-A Lehigh Valley won 2-1 behind a two-run blast from first baseman Keaton Anthony, who added a walk. Outfielder Gabriel Rincones Jr. (2-for-3 with a double) and designated hitter Carter Kieboom (2-for-3) also made it on base twice. Righty starter Chuck King got the win after six innings of one-run ball, striking out five batters on 84 pitches.

Double-A Reading won 8-6 behind home runs from Carson DeMartini (2-for-4) and Nori (2-for-4 with a walk and a steal), both of whom recently returned from long stints on the injured list. Aroon Escobar and Alex Binelas added doubles, helping the Fightin Phils stay one step ahead during a shaky start from Adam Seminaris.

High-A Jersey Shore won 7-4 with a small-ball clinic, stealing six bases and managing just one extra base hit. Outfielder Devin Saltiban (2-for-3 with a walk) stole his 30th base of the season, and second baseman Robert Phelps led off the game with a home run. Lefty Juan Amarante, who spent a major chunk of the season on the injured list, struck out five batters in five innings, allowing two earned runs (one unearned) on 77 pitches.

Single-A Clearwater lost 6-5 on a shaky day for the bullpen. Phillies 2025 prep pick Matt Ferrara (2-for-5) committed a pair of fielding errors at shortstop, while Jonathan Hogart drew three walks. 2026 tenth round pick Reece Moroney also reached base three time, singling and drawing three walks.
