Phillies’ minor league affiliates went 3-1 on Sunday, April 12 to close out the week; Double-A Reading hit four homers, top prospect Carson DeMartini finishing a triple shy of the cycle, while High-A Jersey Shore and Single-A Clearwater each won via shutout.

Dante Nori, Dylan Campbell and outfielder Raylin Heredia also cleared the fences for the Fightin Phils, but solo shots kept the score to 6-3. 2023 undrafted free agent Braydon Tucker fanned ten batters across five innings and highly regarded pitching prospect Alex McFarlane added another scoreless inning in relief.

Shortstop Jose Colmenares helped power the BlueClaws’ offense in a 7-0 win, going 3-for-4 with a double. Both their and Clearwater’s shutouts came via committee: the top performance came from 2025 17th round pick Richie Cortese, who fanned four batters and faced the minimum across two innings for the Threshers. A 6-foot-6, 240 pound right-hander, Cortese spent time as a two-way player at Lander University (D-II) and has the frame to add power as he develops with the Phillies.

THe Threshers eked out a 1-0 win, catcher Nathan Humphreys going 1-for-2 with a walk and the lone run, a solo homer. Right-hander Keegan Batka picked up the save with a perfect inning, needing just eight pitches to walk the tightrope with a miniscule lead.
