Phillies Prospect Watch: Aidan Miller Still Carrying the Farm
With another week of Arizona Fall League action in the books, Phillies top infield prospect Aidan Miller continues to lead the way for the organization. The 2023 first round pick went 4-for-7 with two doubles, a triple, six walks and a steal over his past three games, boosting his OPS during fall league action to 1.506.
After Miller, catcher Luke Davis was the Phillies’ next standout, going 3-for-6 with three walks for the Scottsdale Scorpions. Dante Nori, who dealt with a nagging hip stress fracture that limited his effectiveness early in the season and later cost him two months on the Injured List, continues to try to find a rhythm at the plate. The sparkplug outfielder went 0-for-7 with two walks and a caught stealing on the week, a series of rain postponements for the Surprise Saguaros doing little to help him return to form.
Infielder Aroon Escobar (2-for-6 with two walks, a triple and a steal) acquitted himself well in a pair of appearances, while catcher Kehden Hettiger (1-for-8 with a walk, two passed balls and two errors) had a week to forget.
On the mound, righty Keegan Batka pitched two innings across two appearances, striking out three batters and allowing a pair of unearned runs. Estibenzon Jimenez worked an eight pitch inning on Oct. 9, while lefty Kevin Warunek allowed one run in one inning of work. Penn product Ryan Dromboski put together the best outing of any of the Phillies’ arms, working around three walks and one hit to put up three scoreless innings on Oct. 14.
