2025 Villanova Football Player Charged With Sexual Assault

Villanova freshman wide receiver D’Hani Cobbs received a slew of felony sexual assault charges on Friday, Jan. 30, according to Delaware County court records.

The charges include four felony counts and a pair of misdemeanors, including Rape Forcible pop Compulsion, Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse Forcible Compulsion and Aggravated Indecent Assault – Forcible Compulsion among others. Bail was set at $250,000, and his preliminary hearing will take place on Feb. 12.

The Villanovan reports that the alleged incident the charges stem from took place on Dec. 6: the university sent out a campus alert regarding the incident the following day.

Cobbs is no longer listed on the football team’s 2025 roster page.
