A survive-and-advance kind of win for Villanova. Most importantly, Bryce Lindsay’s slump is over. Wildcats get through their Midwest trip 2-0 and their winning streak is six. They’re 21-5 overall, 12-3 in the Big East, and have a showdown in South Philly Saturday vs. UConn.

Also, don’t take this lightly… it may be overlooked bc it’s a weaker conference this year, but Villanova is 7-1 on the road so far in conference play. SEVEN wins. And that one loss was in overtime to the #2 team (at the time) in the country. Credit the coaching and these players

Tyler Perkins has been incredible for Villanova all season, especially in Big East play.

Kevin Willard wanted him to play better defense despite having the game winning block against Marquette. A huge steal here leads to points in Cincinnati.
