Former Villanova guards Mark Armstrong and TJ Bamba each earned NBA Summer League auditions following the draft, with Armstrong joining the Philadelphia 76ers and Bamba joining the Brooklyn Nets.

Armstrong played for the Wildcats from 2022 to 2024, breaking into the starting lineup during his second season and then trying his luck at the NBA Draft. After going unselected, Armstrong signed with Brooklyn for the Summer League, but ended up reporting to their G-League affiliate, the Long Island Nets, after going unselected. There, the 6-foot-2, 180 pound guard averaged 10.8 points and 2.4 assists per game across 21.9 minutes per night, making four starts in 23 appearances.

Bamba spent the 2023-24 season at Villanova, playing at Washington State for the three years prior before transferring to Oregon ahead of his final year in college. A 6-foot-5, 208 pound guard, he averaged 10.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.8 assists across 33 starts for the Wildcats.

Other Villanova products with a chance to prove they belong in the NBA this summer include all-time scoring leader Eric Dixon, who signed a two-way deal with the Los Angeles Lakers, and shooting guard Wooga Poplar, who will report to the Chicago Bulls’ summer session.
