Villanova Offers Legacy Big East Recruit Quincy Douby Jr.
Villanova Men’s Basketball has their eyes on the class of 2027, issuing an offer to Quincy Douby Jr. out of Miami’s Riviera Prep in early April. Douby is a 6-foot-3, 160 pound point guard at one of the nation’s recruiting powerhouses and the son of a three-year NBA veteran who played at Rutgers in the old Big East and spent more than a decade playing overseas.
247Sports ranks Douby as a four-star prospect and the No. 96 player in his class. He also holds offers from Cal, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, Rutgers, TCU, Texas A&M, UCF and Wake Forest along with a number of mid-major programs.
Capable of playing both guard spots, scouting reports praise Douby for his motor on the defensive end and his ability to fight through traffic and get to the basket. He’ll need to add bulk in order to withstand the physicality of the college game, but Douby has another year in high school to develop and his work ethic will smooth that transition.
