Villanova Knicks to Appear at Nova Nation Tip-Off Event

Villanova Athletics will host program alumni Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart and Mikal Bridges as part of the Nova Nation Tip-Off on Sunday, Oct. 4. The trio won the 2026 NBA Championship with the New York Knicks, continuing the success they enjoyed on the Main Line as part of the 2016 and 2018 national championship runs; Brunson earned Finals MVP honors this past season after winning a host of player of the year awards during the 2018 championship run.

The Knicks will open their preseason slate at Xfinity Mobile Arena against LeBron James and the Philadelphia 76ers the following day, so scheduling lines up for them. Brunson and Hart made a return to the Finneran Pavilion last year to help the men’s and women’s basketball teams kick off their season, hosting an episode of their podcast, the Roommates Show.

Admission to the Nova Nation Tip-Off is free and open to the public; Villanova’s current players will host an autograph event beginning at 6 p.m., while the main festivities will begin at 7 p.m.
