Villanova alumnus Eric Dixon will miss the entirety of the Los Angeles Lakers’ 2025 Summer League schedule according to a report from Daniel Starkand of Lakers Nation.

Starkand spotted Dixon wearing a walking boot and using a scooter to move around during the Lakers’ July 10 Summer League loss to the Dallas Mavericks. Dixon didn’t appear in any of the team’s first three Summer League games during the California Classic, but box scores listed him as out due to a coach’s decision rather than an injury.

After he went undrafted in June, the Lakers signed Eric Dixon to a two-way contract that will allow them to flip him between their NBA club and their G-League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers, depending on their needs and how he plays. Depending how long injury rehab takes him, he could have another audition in early September during the team’s training camp. In either case, he’s more likely to begin his first professional season on the G-League roster than in the NBA.
