After demolishing the Hampton Pirates 56-14 on Saturday, Oct. 18, Villanova Football surged up the FCS Top 25, landing at No. 11 in the Stats Perform poll and No. 12 in the AFCA poll. Last week, they checked in at No. 15 and No. 14, respectively. The Wildcats rode a massive first half from quarterback Pat McQuaide to victory over the Pirates, as the veteran signal caller threw five touchdowns and ran for one more before checking out of the game with a 49-0 lead.

Per the poll results, the Wildcats (5-2, 4-1 CAA) are the No. 2 team in the CAA, behind Monmouth (No. 10/No.9), who beat the Wildcats back in September, and just ahead of Rhode Island (No. 13/No. 13). Villanova holds the third-best record in the CAA, as both Rhode Island (4-0) and Monmouth (3-0) are undefeated to begin conference play.

This weekend, Villanova will host UAlbany (1-6, 0-3 CAA), looking to win their fifth consecutive game overall and their 20th straight at home. That game will begin at 3:30 p.m.
