Villanova Football Adds Cross-Training 2026 Lineman Brody Kuszyk
Villanova Football added another player to their 2026 roster in the form of defensive lineman Brody Kuszyk, a 6-foot-3, 230 pound incoming freshman.
Kuszyk played for North Carolina’s Arendell Parrott Academy in high school, winning a state championship in eight-man football as a senior and racking up 103 tackles, ten sacks, 28 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles and a blocked punt.
He benefits from cross-training, also competing on his school’s swim and golf teams, giving him a well-rounded arsenal of endurance, fast-twitch and mental training that will help him adjust to the rigors of Division I football: going from eight-on-eight to 11-on-11 could present a learning curve.
Devoting himself to football full-time should help Kuszyk add bulk. Villanova prioritizes strength and athleticism out of their defensive line, running 3-3-5 personnel. In addition to playing tight end, Kuszyk played both outside linebacker and had a hand in the dirt as a down lineman in high school. His recruiting graphic indicates he’ll settle on the line.
The Wildcats now have 12 spots left to fill on their 95-man roster heading into 2026.
