Villanova Football Adds Connecticut Player of the Year

Villanova Football added another recruit to its 2026 class on Tuesday, June 24, with 6-foot-4, 185 pound wide receiver Andrew Esposito committing to the Wildcats over close to two dozen other Division I offers.
A 2026 recruit, Esposito attends Connecticut’s New Canaan High School, where he’s won the state championship in each of the past three seasons. He racked up 1,280 yards and 21 touchdowns during the 2024 season, adding a pair of interceptions on the other side of the ball. Clocked as running a 4.55 second 40-yard dash, Esposito won the Connecticut MaxPreps Player of the Year award and possesses a combination of side and speed that will make him a dangerous downfield target.
The Wildcats also tendered an offer to 2026 wide receiver/free safety Isaiah Selby, a six foot tall, 175 pound recruit out of New Jersey’s Paramus Catholic. Selby tagged Villanova cornerbacks coach Dustin Johnson in the post announcing his offer, perhaps indicating that the Wildcats would play him in the secondary rather than at receiver.
