Villanova Football brough in two recruits in the class of 2027 on Thursday, May 21, with quarterback Jackson Solley and running back TJ Lawrence both announcing their commitment to the Wildcats. Solley stands 6-foot-2 and weighs 190 pounds. Playing for Episcopal Academy in nearby Newtown Square, the signal caller amassed 1400 total yards across nine games as a junior, completing 77 of 110 passes for 15 touchdowns and three interceptions.

The Wildcats hosted Solley during spring practices, and he chose them over Division I offers from Stonehill, Sacred Heart and Towson.

Lawrence announced his offer from Villanova on May 12. The 5-foot-11, 210 pound running back is a speedster who racked up 1,364 yards and 29 touchdowns as a junior at Allentown’s Parkland High School, earned his second consecutive All-State nod.

Lawrence told Philadelphia Sports Now that he began attending Wildcats recruiting camps as a freshman and kept a close eye on the program ever since.

“They’ve been great. I’ve really stuck with them since my freshman year. Always going to the camps, I’ve always liked their coaches,” Lawrence said. “Coach Ferrante has been great to me, Coach Fletcher, all of them have been great to me. I visited [May 18], got to meet the players and stuff like that.”

The owner of close to two dozen Division I offers, Lawrence waited little time claiming his spot with the Wildcats once the opportunity presented itself.
