Villanova Football earned an at-large bid to the FCS Playoffs on Sunday, Nov. 23, entering the bracket as the No. 12 seed in the 24-team field. The No. 9/No. 7 Wildcats will host Harvard, who began the season on a nine game winning streak before losing to Yale in The Game, missing out on the Ivy League’s automatic bid as a result.

Villanova will host the Crimson at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29. If they win that game, they’ll stay in Eastern Pennsylvania, traveling to take on No. 5 Lehigh the following weekend. The Wildcats ended the season on an eight game winning streak and held the best rank in their conference in both the Stats Perform and AFCA Coaches Polls. However, they couldn’t secure an automatic bid or first round bye in the tournament as Rhode Island went a perfect 8-0 in CAA play.

This marks the third year in a row the Wildcats will play at least one postseason game, their fourth time in the past five years, and their fifth time in nine seasons under head coach Mark Ferrante. They’ve won their first playoff game in each of the past two seasons, hosting both years.
