Phillies affiliates went 2-2 on Sunday, Aug. 9, capping the week with a pair of dramatic comebacks at the higher rungs of the system.

Triple-A Lehigh Valley won 7-6, scoring five runs in the top of the ninth inning. Otto Kemp and Gabriel Rincones Jr. each homered, and a series of walks, singles and productive outs helped power the decisive rally. Double-A Reading also benefitted from late-game heroics, scoring six unanswered runs in the final three innings to win 6-5.

Center fielder Pedro León finished a triple shy of the cycle, first baseman Alex Binelas singled and tripled, and shortstop Bryan Rincon doubled and drew three walks. Recently healed infielder Carson DeMartini (1-for-3 with two walks) also reached base three times, while reliever Wen-Hui Pan earned the win after working around a pair of singles to pitch a clean eighth inning.

High-A Jersey Shore lost 15-8, a three-run homer from Tyler Pettorini and multiple trips on base from second baseman Robert Phelps (2-for-3 with a walk) and shortstop Juan Villavicencio (two walks) not enough to balance out an abysmal day from the pitching staff and defense. For all their production at the plate, Pettorini and Phelps each committed an error, leading to six unearned runs. Phillies 2025 fifth round pick Gabe Craig endured his worst outing as a BlueClaw, allowing three runs in two innings.

Single-A Clearwater lost 10-5 despite strong days at the plate from 2026 picks like center fielder Will Gasparino (2-for-3) and catcher Macon Winslow (1-for-4 with a three-run homer). Matt Ferrara added a double, but a bullpen meltdown doomed the Threshers.
