Villanova Men’s, Women’s Basketball Announce 2026-27 Tip-Off Event

Hoops Mania is no more, but Villanova Men’s and Women’s Basketball will kick off their 2026-27 seasons at the Finneran Pavilion at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 4 in the inaugural Nova Nation Tip-Off. Per the Wildcats’ press release, the event will include special guests, Pep Band and Spirit Squad performances, contests and giveaways as the respective programs introduce their rosters this season.

Admission is free and open to the public: before the official start time, they’ll also host an autograph session at 6 p.m.

Villanova Men’s Basketball will play three preseason games, taking on Rutgers in New Brunswick, N.J. on Sunday, Oct. 11 before hosting George Mason (Oct. 17) and Virginia (Oct. 22); the Women’s team will have a shorter ramp-up, hosting Fairleigh Dickinson on Oct. 18. Both teams made the NCAA Tournament last season and will begin the 2026-27 campaign in earnest on Sunday, Nov. 1, taking on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in Rome, Italy as part of the Eternal City Tip-Off.
