Villanova Women’s Basketball took a major hit down low with forward Denae Carter set to graduate, but they’re bolstering their presence in the paint with Quinnipiac rising senior Anna Foley. Foley announced her commitment in a Monday, April 13 Instagram post.

Listed at both forward and center, Foley stands 6-foot-3. She averaged 10 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists across 21.8 minutes per game during the 2025-26 campaign, winning Third Team All-MAAC honors. That actually marked a reduction in playing time as Quinnipiac opted for a shorter lineup. Foley she started just five of 34 games this past season after starting the first 64 games of her career, winning Second Team honors as a sophomore.

Foley adjusted well to the reduced role, and her height will help her provide a valuable anchor down low for Villanova. She also showed her ability to make key plays at key moments, sending the Bobcats to the MAAC Championship game with a game-winning overtime bucket against Iona. Foley then put up 17 points and seven rebounds in the title game against an excellent Fairfield squad and erupted for 24 points in the WBIT against Stanford, proving her ability to succeed against top competition.

Beyond Carter, the Wildcats will also lose forward Kylee Watson to graduation; Foley’s addition means they have four spots to fill on their roster heading into next season, when they’ll try to build on a 2025-26 campaign that saw them finish second in the Big East.
