Villanova Men’s Basketball all-time leading scorer Eric Dixon will represent the Stars and Stripes this summer, as USA Basketball 3×3 announced that he’ll suit up for Team Phoenix in the 2026 FIBA Men’s Pro Circuit.

Dixon stands 6-foot-7 and weighs 265 pounds. He led the nation in scoring as a super senior during the 2024-25 season but went undrafted last summer as a result of his age and a perceived lack of athleticism. After that, he managed to catch on with the Memphis Hustle of the NBA’s G-League. He’s averaging 24.6 points over his last ten games and 19.5 points over his past 20, learning to adjust to the rigors of professional basketball.

Despite having the frame of a traditional power forward, Dixon can pour it on from beyond the arc, taking roughly half his shots from three this season. That, coupled with his physical presence, should help him succeed in a three-on-three setting. Half-court basketball is a far cry from the NBA, but if Dixon continues to catch eyes for his scoring prowess, a call to the big leagues could take place soon; fellow Villanova product Tyler Burton, another member of the Memphis system, made his NBA debut in early March.
